Do you have a start-up mindset? Do you want to make a difference by helping make the world's manufacturing dramatically more sustainable, efficient and high-performance? If you do, we'd love to hear from you!
What is the role
A key role in our product testing team, reporting to the Head of Hardware Development, you will help to further develop the future of composite printing, supporting 9T’s mission to advance high-performance applications in a sustainable way.

Together with a team of mechanical, electrical and software engineers, you will have the opportunity to test and validate both current and new product solutions, with new software and firmware releases. Your work will impact how our manufacturing solutions are being used, and what our new offerings will look like.
Your mission
You will contribute to quality testing of our manufacturing solutions and in particular the release of new firmware versions. You will improve our development cycles by providing feedback and guidelines both internally and externally.

After 1 month you will…
  • Know the company structure, values and goals.
  • Know our additive manufacturing solutions, our products’ capabilities and our target markets.
  • Know the relevant people within 9T Labs.
  • Be comfortable operating our production machines.
After 3 months you will…
  • Be working closely together with the embedded systems team on a regular basis and test firmware and machine behavior based on acceptance criteria.
  • Be able to work independently using our ticketing system and firmware release process.
  • Help document the state of different firmware versions and document troubleshooting guides for known errors and bugs.
After 6 months you will...
  • Provide input on how to improve our user manuals and operating procedures.
  • Be able to provide valuable feedback on how to improve testing and commissioning cycles.
What you need to bring to the role
  • Currently enrolled or recently graduated with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in mechanical, robotics, electronics or software engineering.
  • You have some experience in 3D printing-related technologies or products (ideally FDM).
  • Ideally you are familiar with Gcode and have experience with Linux and 3D printing firmware.
  • You have proven hands-on experience working with robotics or mechatronics projects.
  • Some experience operating industrial production machines would be a plus.
  • You have experience working in fast-paced environments and in cross-functional and multinational project teams
  • You enjoy providing detailed and precise feedback and understand the importance of documentation.
Language requirements:
Fluent in English (at least C1).
What leads to success
  • You are curious and passionate about additive manufacturing technologies and innovation in general.
  • You have a pragmatic, constructive and results-oriented approach.
  • You are analytical and structured, with a strong work ethic and sense of responsibility.
  • You are known for your precision, attention to detail, and persistence.
  • You have a knack for product improvement and process optimization.
  • You are autonomous and self-driven, yet a team player, with a positive attitude, strong verbal and written communication.
  • You have an entrepreneurial spirit, you share our values, and you understand how start-ups work - which means you can balance speed, quality and output.
What we offer
  • A place where everyone cares about making an impact.
  • 20 paid holidays (per full calendar year).
  • Paid-time-off surrounding personal life changing events.
  • Flexible working time and work location.
  • Events for exchange, learning, culture, sports and general fun.
